Vividly red in color, paprika is made from ground Capsicum chili peppers. Although, it doesn’t pack the punch you’d expect from a chili. Instead, it has a sweet flavor and a delicate aroma that can vary from fruity to sharp.

We source our Spice Islands® paprika from around the world, looking for chiles with high extractable color.

Paprika works well in a variety of dishes, but is particularly well suited to seafood and chicken. Stir it into melted lemon butter for an easy dipping sauce.

Fun Fact: Paprika was first discovered in the Americas. But it was the Spanish who first dried it and ground it for culinary use after Christopher Columbus brought it back from the New World.

Our Paprika is only paprika. Spice Islands® spices and herbs don’t contain added sugar, fillers or other ingredients so you get the most authentic flavor every time.
