Pickling is a time-honored tradition that goes back thousands of years and still plays an important role in preserving fresh foods. Not only does it allow you to enjoy summer’s harvest in the winter, it’s a great way to experiment in the kitchen and create new and exciting tastes. Our pickling spice is a classic blend of flavors that can be used in large-scale canning, or quick pickling. Try it with a variety of vegetables including green beans, jalapeños, asparagus and cauliflower.

Fun Fact: Pickling began 4,000 years ago using cucumbers native to India. It is called "achar" in southern India. This was used as a way to preserve food for long journeys.
