Alfredo Sauce

4 to 6 servings


1 pound fettuccine noodles OR other pasta

1/2 cup butter (no substitutes)

2 cups heavy cream

1 cup grated parmesan cheese

1/4 teaspoon Spice Islands® Fine Grind Black Pepper

2 tablespoons Argo® Corn Starch

2 tablespoons water


Cook pasta according to package directions.

Melt butter in a large skillet. Gradually whisk in cream, Parmesan cheese and black pepper until smooth but not boiling. Mix corn starch and water together; gradually whisk into alfredo sauce.

Bring to a boil over medium-low heat, stirring constantly; boil 1 minute. Drain pasta and toss with sauce. For extra flavor sprinkle with Spice Islands® Cajun Seasoning, Smoked Paprika or Chipotle Chile.
