Brazilian Hot Chocolate

1 cup double strength brewed coffee

1 Spice Islands® Cinnamon Sticks

3 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped

3 cups milk

3 tablespoons sugar

Whipped cream

As desired, Spice Islands® Cinnamon Sugar Adjustable Grinder


Heat coffee and cinnamon stick to a boil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Remove from heat and add chocolate. Stir until chocolate is melted.

Return stock pot to stove; add milk and sugar. Simmer over low heat; remove cinnamon stick. Beat with whisk until hot chocolate is foamy.

Ladle hot chocolate into mugs; top with whipped cream and finely ground cinnamon sugar grinder.

Recipe Note:  Refrigerate leftover hot chocolate and serve cold.
