Greek Lamb Tacos with Tzaziki Sauce

Ingredients

1 pound ground lamb

1 teaspoon Spice Islands® Oregano

1 teaspoon Spice Islands® Minced Garlic

1 teaspoon Spice Islands® Fine Grind Sea Salt

1/2 teaspoon Spice Islands® Sweet Basil

1/2 teaspoon Spice Islands® Onion Powder

Shredded lettuce

1 large tomato, diced

1/2 cup thinly sliced red onion

1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese

8 pita breads

Tzatziki Sauce

1 carton (5 to 6 ounces) plain Greek yogurt

1/2 teaspoon Spice Islands® Oregano

1/2 teaspoon Spice Islands® Garlic Salt

1/2 teaspoon Spice Islands® Fine Grind Black Pepper

1/2 cup shredded, peeled cucumber

2 green onions, thinly sliced

Instructions

Cook lamb, oregano, garlic, salt, basil and onion powder in a large skillet over medium heat until lamb is cooked through.  Drain well.

While lamb is cooking, prepare Tzatziki Sauce mixing all ingredients in a small bowl.  Sauce can be made ahead.

Assemble tacos by filling pita bread with lettuce, lamb, tomatoes, onion and Tzatziki Sauce.
