Sausage and Herb Dressing

2 tablespoons butter

6 ounces link pork sausage

2 cups chopped onion

1 cup chopped celery

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (14.5 ounces) chicken broth

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

2 teaspoons Spice Islands® Poultry Seasoning

1 teaspoon Spice Islands® Sage

1/4 teaspoon Spice Islands® Fine Grind Black Pepper

1 loaf (1 pound) French bread, cubed

3/4 cup green onion, thinly sliced


Preheat oven to 375ºF.

Melt butter in large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add sausage and cook 5 to 7 minutes or until browned. Add onion, celery and garlic; cook 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Stir in chicken broth, parsley, poultry seasoning, sage, and black pepper. Remove from heat. Stir in bread cubes and green onion.

Spoon into 13 x 9-inch greased baking dish. Baked covered for 30 minutes; remove cover and bake 5 minutes longer.
