Spiced Coffee

1 cup


For each serving

1-1/2 tablespoons cocoa powder

1 teaspoon brown sugar

1/4 teaspoon Spice Islands® Ground Saigon Cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon Spice Islands® Ground Allspice

2 to 3 dashes Spice Islands® Ground Cloves

4 to 5 tablespoons pure maple syrup

1 cup strong brewed coffee

1 tablespoon Meyer rum (optional)


2 tablespoons whipped cream

Shaved chocolate

Dash Spice Islands® Ground Saigon Cinnamon

1 Spice Islands® Cinnamon Sticks


Stir together cocoa powder, brown sugar, cinnamon, allspice and cloves in a large coffee cup.  Add maple syrup and stir until blended.  Gradually add hot coffee until blended.  Add rum if desired. 

Serve hot or cold over ice.  Top with dollop of whipped cream sprinkled with shaved chocolate and cinnamon.  Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
