Honduran Black Bean Chili

2 cups cooked, chopped turkey

1/2 cup red wine

1/4 cup Spice Islands® Cilantro

1 tablespoon Spice Islands® Ground Coriander

1 tablespoon Spice Islands® Ground Cumin

1/2 teaspoon Spice Islands® Medium Grind Black Pepper

1 medium lime


1 to 2 tablespoons Mazola® Pure Olive Oil

1 large onion, diced

1 medium green bell pepper, diced

1 to 2 jalapeno peppers, minced

1 tablespoon Spice Islands® Minced Garlic

2 cans (15 ounces each) black beans, undrained

1 can (15.5 ounces) light kidney beans, undrained


Combine turkey, wine, cilantro, coriander, cumin and black pepper in a medium sized bowl. Squeeze lime and add juice to turkey mixture. Marinate 10 minutes.

Heat olive oil in a large pot on medium heat. Add onion, peppers and garlic. Sauté until vegetables are softened. Stir in beans. Cook until chili begins to simmer. Add turkey mixture, and simmer 1 to 2 hours stirring occasionally.
