Nutty Spiced Granola

6 cups


2-1/2 cups old-fashioned oats

1-1/2 cups sliced almonds, gently crushed

1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts

3 tablespoons brown sugar

2 teaspoons Spice Islands® Ground Saigon Cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon Spice Islands® Ground Nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup honey

2 tablespoons maple syrup

1 tablespoon Mazola® Corn Oil

1 tablespoon Spice Islands® Pure Vanilla Extract


Preheat oven to 275°F.

Place the oats, nuts, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a large bowl and toss together.

Combine honey, maple syrup, oil and vanilla in a small bowl and whisk together.  Fold the wet mixture into the oat mixture and stir until completely combined.

Pour the mixture in a single layer onto a large baking sheet and bake for about 1 hour, stirring every 10 minutes.

Remove the granola from the oven and allow to cool completely, at least 2 hours. (Granola will crisp as it cools.)
