Parmesan Nut Crusted Halibut

1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/3 cup finely chopped almonds

2 halibut steaks

3 tablespoons Mazola® Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1 tablespoon Spice Islands® Beau Monde Seasoning

Freshly ground Spice Islands® Black Pepper Adjustable Grinder


Pre-heat oven to 375˚F.

Mix Parmesan cheese and chopped almonds in a shallow dish or plate.

Rinse and pat halibut steaks dry. Brush with 1 tablespoon olive oil. Generously season both sides of fish with Beau Monde Seasoning (more or less may be used, as desired) and freshly ground black pepper.

Heat remaining oil in a large, oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat. Gently pat cheese mixture on both sides of halibut and carefully place in skillet. Sauté 5 to 7 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

Place skillet in oven to finish cooking. Bake until an internal temperature reaches 160ºF.
