White Bean Chili

1 jar (48 ounces) great northern beans

2 cups (9 ounces) cooked diced chicken

3 tablespoons Spice Islands® Onion Powder

1 tablespoon Spice Islands® Garlic Powder

2 teaspoons Spice Islands® Ground Cumin

1 teaspoon Spice Islands® Ground Oregano

1/4 teaspoon Spice Islands® Ground Cloves

1/4 teaspoon Spice Islands® Cayenne Pepper

2 cans (4.5 ounces each) chopped mild green chilies

2 cans (14.5 ounces each) chicken broth

2 cups (8 ounces) grated Monterey Jack cheese


Combine beans, chicken, onion and garlic powder, cumin, oregano, cloves, pepper, chilies, and chicken broth in a stock pot or large saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium high heat.

Add cheese. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 30 minutes. Serve hot. If desired, garnish each bowl with sour cream and grated Monterey Jack OR cheddar cheese.

TIP:  For spicier chili, add 2 chopped jalapeno peppers.
