Curries are truly culinary gifts to the western world from the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. The red curry that hails from Thailand (kaeng phet as it is known), like most curries, incorporates a complex combination of spices and herbs. It gets its red color from dried red chiles.
Our fragrant red curry can be made into a paste, which then is combined with coconut milk and various proteins such as chicken, beef, pork, shrimp or duck for a delicious taste of Thailand.
