Traditional Apple Cider Recipe
Delicious Traditional Apple Cider.

Ingredients
- 2 broken Spice Islands Cinnamon Sticks
- 1-1/2 tsp Spice Islands Whole Allspice
- 1/2 tsp Spice Islands Whole Cloves
- 2 quarts apple cider or juice
- 1/4 cup sugar
- Bourbon, as desired (optional)
Directions
- Place cinnamon, allspice and cloves in a small piece of cheesecloth. Heat cider and sugar in a large saucepan with spices over medium-high heat to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes, covered. Remove and discard spice bag before serving.
- To serve, pour desired amount of bourbon (if desired) in each glass and fill with warm cider.
Tips
Cider can be simmered in a slow cooker.
