Pork with Apple Chipotle Glaze

Delicious Pork with Apple Chipotle Glaze.


  • 1/2 cup apple jelly
  • 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Chipotle Chile
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Ancho Chile
  • 1 lb pork loin
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 tbsp Pure Olive Oil


  1. Bring jelly, vinegar, brown sugar, ground chipotle and pasilla chilies to a boil in a heavy saucepan. Reduce heat and simmer 15 to17 minutes or until sauce is reduced to 2/3 cup.
  2. Slice pork loin into 4 equal portions (1 to 1-1/2 inches thick). Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
  3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat; add pork and saute until interior reaches minimum temperature of 150ºF; turning once.
  4. Baste or drizzle pork with chipotle glaze. Serve with mashed potatoes or seasoned plantains.
