  1. Add all of the ingredients to a large saucepan set over medium heat. Stir to combine and bring to a gentle boil.
  2. Lower heat to a simmer and cook about 15 minutes, stirring once in a while, until smooth and hot. For a smoother consistency, puree well in a blender.
  3. Spread warm on biscuits, waffles, or toast. Jar and store in the refrigerator for 1 week or freeze for a few months.
